C Fleet Captain: Brian Brickler
The sailing season is approaching and I have a couple quick things to discuss with the fleet.
First, if you have anything you want me to discuss at the opening fleet meeting let me know. I will make sure I put it in the agenda.
Secondly, we will have Beulah Challenge T-shirts available for purchase shortly. We have a new logo that will be on the T-shirts and we hope that any boats going to spring regatta's will buy these t-shirts and help promote this year's Beulah Challenge. This regatta has become a great event and we are hoping to increase the attendance. So anyone going to spring regattas make sure that you promote the Beulah Challenge. Anne Muller (Porter) is running the Beulah Challenge this year and I am co-chair, so any advice or idea's feel free to send them to us.
Lastly, I have been asked to poll the fleet on their opinions of Dry Sailing at the club. We are meeting about this to possibly make changes to the LBYC By-Laws. Please respond to this question as soon as possible. If anyone has any other ideas about By-law changes let me know by logging in, click on the Discussion Forum link above or here and let me know what you think. The issue I have been asked to conduct a poll on is as follows:
"I believe that polling of the fleets should focus on the issue of whether or not the bylaws should permit dry sailing for sailors who are not related to current members living on the lake and live outside the proximity of the lake."
