Friday nights at the club

As the schedule permits, the club will be open on Friday nights for the entire family. It is casual with a grill-your-own meat entrée. Chips, hamburgers, hotdogs and dessert will be stocked at the club. Salad will be provided by the committee. Join us in the bar for a review of last week's races on the TV screen with our new Kattack system donated and organized by C fleeters Marty Barr and Kent Haeger. Jeff Lippert and Don Franzene will be your Friday night bartenders. June 5th is the first Friday night dinner manned by the Martin Barrs/Gil Brickler and Ben Porter. Pricing is $6 a meal.

Monthly parties

June - Improv Night returns hosted by the Steins. Look for a great meal with even better entertainment. Mark your calendar now for June 27th.

July - Our July big party is the Sailing School Auction and Dinner, July 11th. This generates excitement as we support our youth sailors. Plan to spend July 4th at the club with Fireworks on the 3rd, the Pancake Breakfast in the morning, Poor Boat Race at noon and a Kids Carnival in the afternoon. Bring all your relatives for a relaxing Saturday on the lake.

August - a new party this year as the younger crowd prepares $10 Pasta Night. Come and join our youngest adults as they invite you to a value-packed night on August 1st. The Commodore's Ball is August 22nd. The event will be held at the Club gain this year. Mark your calendars to honor Paul and Cathy Riedl.

Bar changes

  • In an effort to increase bar profits, the use of hired bartenders will be minimal this season. Look for familiar faces behind the bar. Ask the bartender if you need something special but enjoy a friendly, familiar face serving your drinks this year.
  • The Sidestays have generously donated a bar dishwasher. It washes glasses in our existing trays in short order - 3 minutes.

BREAKING NEWS !!!!!

LBYC drops beer prices. In this time of economic challenge, Lake Beulah Yacht Club welcomes you to lower domestic beer prices. AND. . . look for new beer offerings. Come to the opening party and taste our new selections. Miller Lite, MGD and Margaritas remain a standard but watch for choices on tap. Domestic beer moves to $2.50.

martini

Gray Goose has been added to our bar selections. Look for the standard offerings but a call -out vodka and gin will supplement our regular stock. Captain Morgan and Bacardi will be served as usual. Pricing will be same as last year on wine ($4) and cocktails ($5) but an added $1 will be charged for the premium call-out liquors.

Online Reservations

This year use online reservations by checking the website or clicking on a link provided in our emails. If you provided an email address to the yearbook, you will be included in our master address book for timely announcements of Yacht Club events and happenings.

New this year will be the opportunity to pay for major parties and regattas with online processing. Unfortunately there is a minimal service charge for this process but we are charging only the processing fee and no handling charge. Watch for this convenient new offering in 2009.
