Weather

If severe weather is approaching:
Get everyone off of the water quickly and in an orderly fashion (no smashing into each other which could cause more delays). Assign adults to help get youth off the water and ensure that they get in the club.
Ensure that all people present are accounted for (do a head count and remember the pier/crane area, shed and tennis courts) and are aware of the potential danger and have a plan for gathering them in a secure spot before the storm hits.
Secure boats and other objects that could be thrown at windows either by storing them in the club, in the shed or otherwise securing them, only if time permits.
Locate a weather radio (batteries working?) and have it with you where you have gathered the individuals. Ensure that you have a few mobile phones on hand.
Call the club emergency contact to let them know how many people are there, a roster of who is with you and who is the point of contact in your group to check status. Provide more than one mobile phone number, if possible, in case one # is busy when the emergency contact is checking in.
If severe weather is imminent:
Get everyone in the club and away from windows.
Call the emergency contact to let them know that you are safe and secure. Avoid tying up the mobile phones, except for status calls and emergency calls.
After the storm passes, call the emergency contact to give them a status update.
Avoid leaving cover prematurely if the storm has not clearly passed.
