Our MC sailors at Nationals in Dallas, Christy, Dave, John, and Chris – had such a great time we all decided to meet again at the Wisconsin Champs on Nagawicka. Saturday, Day 1 looked promising enough for our PRO, Chip Mann to send us out. (Un)fortunately, we had enough breeze to get to the north end of the lake, where we bobbed around in wake board wakes until mercifully getting tows back to the club. After a nice broasted chicken lunch, great conversations with fellow sailors – we enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails to end the day.
Day 2 was a different story. Breeze was 5-20 from the south, clocking 100 degrees right by end of race 3. The game was to get right, hopefully during one of the few lefties of the morning, but mostly deciding when to take the huge header to get back into an even bigger righty. Christie & Dave handled their boats great single-handedly in big breeze, finishing 12th & 9th respectively, John finished just out of the hardware at 6th, and Chris was 4th. We’re looking forward to being back at Nag this weekend for the MC Invite.
